Lynyrd Skynyrd

Lynyrd Skynyrd was a band formed around 1970s, it was a band formed by a lot of men, around 10, they were very famous, they were formed by singer Ronnie Van Zant, guitarists Gary Rossington, Allen Collins, Ed King, and Steve Gaines, bassist Leon Wilkeson, keyboard player Billy Powell, and drummers Bob Burns and Artimus Pyle, and the Chorus person, and more. Lynyrd Skynyrd was one of the most critically acclaimed Southern Rock groups; the band was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 13, 2006. The group suffered a very bad accident, on Thursday, October 20, 1977, three days after the release of Street Survivors, the band was three dates into their most successful headlining tour to date, and the Skynyrd touring party was in a relaxed, joyful mood. However, near the end of their flight from Greenville, South Carolina to LSU in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Skynyrd's chartered Convair 240 began to develop mechanical difficulties, and the pilots attempted an emergency landing on a small airstrip. Just short of its goal, the plane crashed near a forest in McComb, Mississippi. The crash killed singer/songwriter Ronnie Van Zant, guitarist/vocalist Steve Gaines, vocalist Cassie Gaines, assistant road manager Dean Kilpatrick, pilot Walter McCreary and co-pilot William Gray. Other band members were injured, some seriously. Drummer Artimus Pyle crawled out of the plane wreckage with several broken ribs, but was ambulatory, as were road crew members Kenneth Peden Jr. and Mark Frank. The three injured men hiked some distance from the crash site, through swampy woods, and finally flagged down farmer Johnny Mote, who had come to investigate. Varying accounts have Mote either firing a warning shot into the air or actually shooting Pyle in the shoulder — no report is completely reliable. Pyle claimed in a February 2007 appearance on Howard Stern's Sirius radio program that Mote had shot him; Mote has always denied shooting the drummer. Video of a barechested Pyle at the 1979 Volunteer Jam does not show evidence of a gunshot wound. The favorite song was Free Bird, which lasted almost 10 minutes, and it was wrote by the singer.

AC/DC

AC/DC are a hard rock band formed in Sydney, Australia in 1973 by brothers Angus and Malcolm Young. The band are considered pioneers of heavy metal, alongside bands such as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath. Its members, however, have always classified their music as "rock 'n' roll".
AC/DC underwent several line-up changes before releasing their first album, High Voltage, in 1975. Membership remained stable until bassist Cliff Williams replaced Mark Evans in 1977. In 1979, the band recorded their highly successful album, Highway to Hell. Lead singer and co-songwriter Bon Scott died on February 19, 1980, after a night of heavy alcohol consumption. The group briefly considered disbanding, but soon ex-Geordie singer Brian Johnson was selected as Scott's replacement. Later that year, the band released their biggest-selling album, Back in Black.

My Chemical Romance

My Chemical Romance (often shortened to MCR or My Chem) is an American Music Award-nominated American rock band that formed in 2001. The current members of the band are Gerard Way, Mikey Way, Frank Iero, Ray Toro and Bob Bryar. Shortly after forming, the band signed to Eyeball Records and released their debut album I Brought You My Bullets, You Brought Me Your Love in 2002. They signed with Reprise Records the next year and released their major label debut Three Cheers for Sweet Revenge in 2004. The album was a major commercial success, selling over one million copies due in part to the success of the singles "Helena", "I'm Not Okay (I Promise)", and "The Ghost of You". The band followed this success with 2006's The Black Parade, featuring their hit singles, "Welcome to the Black Parade", "Famous Last Words", "I Don't Love You", "Teenagers" and upcoming single "Mama". While the band identifies their sound as simply "rock", the subgenre of the band's recordings has been a subject of debate among fans and the media.[citation needed] After a long hiatus, Mikey Way returned to the band in time to support Bon Jovi. The band also recently filmed their October 7 show in Mexico City as The Black Parade. This will be made into a DVD which is due for release next year.

Metallica

Metallica is an American Grammy Award-winning heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles, California in 1981.[1]They have released eight studio albums, two live albums, two EPs, nine videos, and are currently working on a ninth studio album.
Metallica has become one of the most commercially successful musical acts of recent decades, and are considered one of the "Big Four" pioneers of thrash metal, along with Slayer, Anthrax, and Megadeth. Their famous songs are: Master of Puppets, Enter the Sandman, One, The Four Horse Men, and more.

Guns' N' Roses

Guns N' Roses is an American hard rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1985. The band has sold an estimated 90 million albums worldwide,[3] including 39 million in the United States.[4] Their 1987 major label debut, Appetite for Destruction, sold over 26 million copies worldwide and reached #1 in the United States.[5]
The band's musical style, onstage presence and bad boy rock image helped usher in a new era of the dominant hard rock and heavy metal scene of the late 1980s and early 1990s. While glam metal was the leading genre in record sales, video charts and radio airplay, Guns N' Roses offered a grittier, more traditional take on rock music, and won many fans who admired their apparent authenticity.

On November 20, MTV2 premiered the video for "From Yesterday"; the video is the first American rock video ever shot in its entirety in the People's Republic of China. The music video is loosely based on the film The Last Emperor.
